This property was part of a complex of buildings that belonged to Ernst Günther’s Town House, which was its nearest neighbour a little to the south. The original building must have been very severely damaged, as photos of the town after the bombardment only show the plot on which it had stood. The damages were assessed at 2,570 Rixdollars. A new building, which is still standing, was quickly erected on the site. In the Prussian period it served as a military headquarters, and after Reunification in 1920 it became the police station.
